The basics
By using Cahoots you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18. One account per person. Keep your account to yourself.
Community guidelines
- Be kind. Everyone here is being a little brave. Harassment, hate, or intimidation of any kind gets you removed.
- Meet in public. Plans meet at public venues. Don’t pressure anyone to share private information or go somewhere private.
- Show up. If you say you’re coming, come — or leave the plan early so someone else can. Repeated no-shows affect your matching.
- Be yourself. Real first name, real you. No impersonation, no fake accounts, no promotion or solicitation.
- Respect “no”. If someone doesn’t pick you after a meetup, that’s the end of it. Contacting people outside the app against their wishes is a violation.
Safety
We provide report and block tools, an 18+ gate, and public-venue plans, but we can’t guarantee the behavior of other users. Use your judgment, tell a friend where you’re going, and leave any situation that feels off — no explanation needed. In an emergency contact local emergency services first.
Your content
You own what you post. You give us a license to display it in the app as needed to run the service (for example, showing your message to your crew). Don’t post anything illegal, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to share.
Plans and costs
Plans may involve costs (tickets, food, a shared room). Unless stated otherwise, you pay the venue directly; Cahoots does not collect or hold money and is not a party to any transaction between you and a venue or another user.
Enforcement
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, without notice where safety requires it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties and limit our liability for indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
